A Fashionable Escape to New York City

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of escaping to the ever-bustling New York City, a trip I had eagerly planned as a glamorous adventure to capture striking photographs for my modeling portfolio and to enjoy some of New York’s iconic eateries. Envisioning warm and sunny days, I packed my most stylish spring attire, ready to conquer the city’s iconic sites in my new Bottega Veneta sunglasses and a light Express jacket. Little did I know, the weather had other plans.

Instead of being greeted by the sun, we were met with clouds and drizzle, but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits—or our fashion. The Marriott Vacation Club had invited me to experience their Pulse Vacation Property, a chic and modern retreat that offered the perfect base for our city exploration.

Our culinary journey began with a delightful dinner at Serafina Italian Restaurant, where the ambiance was as exquisite as the food. The following night, we indulged in a succulent meal at Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse, a classic spot that effortlessly blends old-world charm with contemporary elegance. To cap off our gastronomic adventures, we dined at Ai Fiori Italian Restaurant, a place that redefined luxury dining with its impeccable service and delectable dishes.

One of the highlights of the trip was exploring the Hudson Yards neighborhood, home to the architectural marvel known as The Vessel. Even under the gray skies, its intricate design stood out, making it a perfect backdrop for some impromptu photoshoots. The Edge, an observation deck that offers stunning views of the city, was next on our list. The experience of standing on glass floors and looking down at the city below was nothing short of exhilarating.

No trip to New York is complete without a visit to Times Square. The energy there is unparalleled, and the fashion inspiration is endless. We saw the famous giant hot dog sculpture that’s been making waves on TikTok, and I even had the chance to see a short video I had uploaded play on one of the giant screens—a surreal and unforgettable moment.

Our adventure continued at the Summit at One Vanderbilt, a place that truly lives up to its name. Despite the cloudy skies, the views were spectacular, and the chic, reflective spaces provided a unique setting for more portfolio-worthy shots.

Throughout the trip, I made sure to blend practicality with style, donning my recently acquired Kenneth Cole coat (why not use the weather as an excuse to chop at the original Macy’s on Herald Square) and Reiker rain boots to stay chic and dry. The unpredictable weather only added to the charm of the city, proving that New York’s allure isn’t just in its sunshine, but in its resilience and perpetual motion.

In the end, what was supposed to be a sunny weekend turned into a dreamy, misty escape filled with unforgettable experiences, delicious food, and countless fashion moments. My stay at the Marriott Pulse Vacation Property was nothing short of fabulous, and I left the city with a camera full of memories and a heart full of inspiration.

Until next time, New York—stay stylish.
